Yabelana makes it easy for older people (or family members), in rural communities to browse events and services available to them in their area. They can also leave feedback about service providers.
The app further allows service providers to register make their information available and loading events that target the elderly. Yabelana will send event notifications to subscribed individuals about events in their area. The information is also available via the Yabelana USSD service *134*237#.
Currently, the project is active in the communities of Ikageng, Promosa, Lokaleng, Sebokeng and Sharpeville.
